I chose to go with this vintage beaded dress and nude pumps for Ohr Naava’s Great Vintage Event, and I’m glad I did. It is truly a thing of the past; charming and transcendent of time. That is the beauty of vintage. It can be worn with relevance today, while maintaining the secret of it’s history. The allure of a vintage piece is partly due to the life it lived before it was in your hands. When you put it on, the mystique and glamor of the clothing is yours for a day…
I got a chance to meet many of the vendors, and see their pieces, and it was a beautiful sight to behold. Like a trove of vintage treasure.
Everyone got a perfect picture over at Chaya and Simi’s Frock Swap!
Ohr Naava truly knows how to throw an event, and everything came together flawlessly. I had more fun than I ever was expecting to and I am grateful that I was able to meet so many women in our community involved in the world of Frum Fashion.
Part II to the Vintage Ventures I styled my sweater from The Frock Swap pop-up-shop, and paired it with a sequin pencil skirt from AllSaints, and my Mary Jane pumps. I love the shoulder pads on this sweater, and that combined with the wrapped panels instantly caused me to fall in love. I can’t wait to see what other beautiful wares will be available at Ohr Naava’s Great Vintage Event!

Yesterday I had the pleasure to hang out by The Frock Swap pop-up-shop in Cedarhurst, and try on a few selected outfits from the dynamic duo’s treasure trove of fashion. Aside for the fabulous frocks, the two sisters behind this designer consignment venture, Chaya and Simi, are pretty fab and fun themselves. Visiting their spot is like going to play dress up with really good friends. Friends who just happen to have hoards of incredible articles of clothing and accessories brimming with unique details, and one-of-a-kind allure. Regrettably my camera did not accompany me, but the Swap sisters got some shots, and while they’re surprisingly good for an iPhone, it is hard to do justice. The clothing are just too beautiful. I will be styling my fab find in my next post, Vintage Ventures Part II!

Hope to see you there!
